About Me
About Me
Hi there! I am an author of epic fantasy for readers 16+ years old. My stories typically feature lush worlds full of magic, animals, and strong female protagonists. SILVERGLEN and ISLE OF WINGS are two standalone novels set in the same universe—one full of magic and shapeshifters. OF GRYPHONS AND RUNES is the start of a new epic fantasy adventure in a world created by Enchanters—one where humans are bound to other life forms.
As a young adult, I devoured books by Garth Nix, Robin McKinley, and Philip Pullman, among many other authors. I began my first novel in grade-school, with my youngest sister as the primary audience, and I haven’t stopped writing since.
My shorter works received an honorable mention (2013), a silver honorable mention (2022), and a finalist award (2016) from the international L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest. Today, I live in the beautiful forests of Ohio with my family, corn snakes, and a shifting myriad of delightful forest creatures.
A Note
My greatest goal as a published author is to deliver high-quality stories to my readers. I spend a great deal of time brainstorming, writing, and editing my work, and I hire professional editors and cover designers to assist in making sure my books are the best they can be. I write because I love the process of creating stories from scratch and molding them into tangible books that can be enjoyed again and again. The process can be brutal, tedious, and heart-wrenchingly powerful. I constantly aim to improve my writing craft, and I therefore do not use generative AI in any part of my story creation (where would be the fun in that?!). My stories are far from perfect, but that’s like life–messy, exciting, and at times unpredictable. I am honored to be able to practice the art of storytelling—the lifeblood of our human experiences—and share them with you. 🙂
